OK, I've done a lot of reading but I cannot find a firm conclusion so I am here looking for help.
I have a old set of Shimano XT M-755 disc brakes. These are the originals circa 2001 and come with the IS Mount. I have purchased a new frame that comes with a post mount on the rear. The front brake I already have covered with an adapter. The rear mount is more trouble. I am trying to find something definitive if there is a adapter that will convert a IS mount caliper to a post mount on the rear of the frame. The other trick is the new frame is limited to a max 160mm rotor.
One option is to purchase new brakes but the units I already have are virtually new and I would like to keep them if possible.
Thanks for any help.
