    best pads for v-brakes

I was wondering if anyone knows of a brake pad for v-brakes that will make the brake more powerful. I don't have ceramic rims. I thought Kool-Stop was supposed to be better but I wasn't sure.

    Thanks,
    David

I am quite happy with my Koolstops. They make several different models for different conditions (dry/wet/mixed). Clean rims also help.

    Kool-stop pads for sure.

Regularly scotch-brite (scrubbie) the rims and pads, esp after wet or muddy rides.

    Cheers, Chris

Kool stops are probably the best all round, stopping power, modulation, and durability.

XTR probably give some of the strongest stopping power with good modulation, but the wear quickly in dry conditions and stupid fast in wet sandy conditions. I picked up 10 pair for $10 on eBay and thats the only reason I am using them--but I was impressed with them when I put them on.
