Best pads for Shimano xt hydraulics

So, I need to replace pads. Which ones are the best?

Looks like my options are ebc pads, stock shimano, koolstop, and those alligator pads?

Should I run the same pad on both brakes, because I've heard that mixing it up enchances modulation.

    Advice would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and my model number is shimano 765.

I have run the stock organic, galfer,EBC golds, and Shimano metallics... the shimano and EBC metallics have the most raw power and also a bit more noise... the galfer had the best balance, between power and noise..

Some people use one metallic and one organic with good results...just have to keep an eye on wear because the organic pads will wear out first...

I second crisillo's observations after running all of those pads myself

I currently run 8in rotors with shimano resin compound up front and Galfer resin pad in the back. Works well and low noise.
