You should read the review section to get an idea on how good or bad they are.

Can't answer that w/o knowing what kind of riding you do. From assumption though, no. Its hydraulic BTW

xtrs are new to hydraulic. (use some punctuation, please!)

xtrs are great for cross country. I have a set and love them. Lots of other good brakes out there, tho. XTs are just as good, but a tad heavier and half the price.

I also have a set of Hope Mono Mins and they are my favorites, but I do smoke them from time to time.

The XTR brakes have been very good to me. Never had
    a problem with them.

Do you mean "its" should be "it's?" Oh yeah, you didn't need a comma between 'there" and "tho."

I think he's referring to the OP's lack of punctuation usage.

Hey, pimpbot, what do you mean when you say that you've smoked your Hope MM's? I have a set that have worked very well for me but I haven't done anything extreme with them, yet.
