    BB7 gone out of whack

I've got a BB7 that just up and went out of whack. One ride, it was working fine. The next ride the disc is now rubbing on the inside of the brake. The weird thing is that I don't seem to be able to adjust it. The knob there on the hub side of the brake is jammed, I think it may be stuck all the way in?

Anyone ever have problems like this or know how to fix them? I don't know what to do about that stuck knob.

    Do a search

This topic has been discussed many times, including this week. Your answer is right here in front of you. Here's one:

    Avid BB5 Locked-Up

    It's a simple fix.

    Did you warp the rotor?
Are the mounting brakets tight still?

no, something is wrong with the caliper. The inner foot screw (I think) is jammed all the way in somehow. I don't really know how it happened, or how to fix it.

OK, I calmed down for a minute, and took another look at things. Everything working now, more or less. I think the brake itself has become mis-aligned to the disc somehow, must have whacked it or something.

I found that when I aligned my rear caliper it went fine.. but my front was a little more trouble.. Now I get it all aligned.. set the pad adjusters to the needed spot. Now I hold the brake lever lightly to increase the tension and then tighten the CPS bolts. Works a little better than before. (I'm not grabbing a handful of brakes here.. just a little.)
