    BB7 Front wheel adjust question

    Hello,

I recently had my local bike shop install BB7 disk brakes on my 29r MTB. I was able to figure out how to adjust the back wheel brake with the use of a hex wrench and got it perfectly adjusted. But I'm having problems adjusting with the front. The front inside pad I can adjust with the hex wrench but I haven't figured out how to adjust the outside pad. On the back outside there is a knob/adjuster to adjust the pad but its different on the front. It just has a red plastic cap. Can any one tell me what I'm missing?
    Thanks.

    BB7 Front wheel adjust question

If it's a real bb7 there should be a torx nut in the center to help get it moving. There are some fantastic set up guides on the web. If you follow them you will do fine

Are you talking about moving the pads closer to the rotor? If that's the case, then you don't need any tools at all. Just turn the red knobs clockwise to move the pad in and CCW to move them out.

At least this is the case with my BB7s...which are circa 2005. Did they change the design and eliminate the big red adjustment dials?

sure it's a BB7 and not a BB5? the BB5's have no outside adj. you have to slide the whole caliper around with the fancy cup and socket washer they use...

thinking we need a quick picture..

BB7's have a knob both inside and out where you can turn it and bring the pads in or out.
Going to try and bring Trail Tire TV back. go take a look... http://trailtiretv.blogspot.com/

Sounds like they put a bb5 on the front.
15mm is a second-best solution to a problem that was already solved.
