    BB5 upgrade

I have a Raleigh XXIX singlespeed with Avid BB5's. Need to change out the pads and I am considering just finding a good deal on BB7 calipers and putting the pad money toward those. Would I be able to simply install the BB7's calipers using the adapters that are in place for the BB5s? I have 185mm roundragon discs up front and 160 in the back. Would be great if I could literally "switch" them out. Thanks.

You've got it. It's as simple as just switching them out.

As far as I know, the retail BB5/BB7 brakes come with rotors. If I were you and buying new, I'd still think seriously about paying the extra money for BB7's that come with G2 or G3 CleanSweep rotors instead of the older Roundagons...
