New question here. Avid XX rotor weight vs G3 rotor weight?

Anyone know if the XX 2-piece rotors are lighter than their equivalent sized G3 Clean Sweep rotor?

    Towards the bottom it states:

"There is 7-8g weight savings in XXs two piece aluminum/steel rotor (160mm XX rotor, compared to all steel 160mm rotor)."

These are sitting in the local store and are noticeably lighter, but at $100AUD a piece I have wait to see what the online prices are like.

"compared to all steel 160mm rotor"

That's one funny statement, like they all weight the exact same thing....

Haha didn't even notice that. I assume it's referring to the Avid all-steel version 160mm G3 Cleansweep

They're available now. I've had the rotors for a few weeks now. Just got the Elixirs CR Mags yesterday.

So you can buy the rotors stand alone? I already have Elixir CRs from last year with the G3 rotors...

How much are the Clean Sweep X ? I'd want one 185 and one 160

    cheers

Yes, you can get just the rotors. I think I paid around $75.00CDN a piece.

I like it for the bling factor. I'm running codes and don't give a sh*t about 7 grams.

Any US online store where I can get it? Jenson dont have it.

All-steel Ceansweep G3 185mm comes in at 153g (plus 13g of the bolts) so lose 7-8g from that I guess.

I'm looking at getting a second set of wheels, and upgrading the rotors on that since I'll be needing more anyway.

Just received a 160mm Cleansweep X, swapped it out with my G3 and weighed them (6 bolt type).

G3 came in at 104g with 13g of bolts
Cleansweep X was 97g with 7g of bolts

    Why not in the US?

How come there aren't any US destributors carrying these rotors yet. Any word on when they might be available here.
