Avid XX brake for AM application?

I currently ride Elixir Mags on my mojo HD and am perfectly happy with them, during the last bleed i realized that the membrane is leaking air making one of the levers impossible to bleed. After a call to sram it turns out they are all out replacements and are sending me a pair of the new XX brakes... which is quite generous.

From what I've read the only difference is the mag calipers, I know avid doesn't recommend using sintered pads on this model since apparently they overheat easier - so the question is would I be downgrading performance in an AM application with this brake? I could always sell them for $400ish and downgrade to some CRs and pocket the difference as well..

I think you will find they work fine. I have gone through some pretty long decents on mine without issue.
