    Avid rear mech.disc... service/fix

A buddy of mine crashed the other day and hit the outboard pad adjuster knob on his Avid mech. disc

Now the positive clicks on the knob are very weak (the knob turns easy).
It will move and come out of ajustment during a ride.

Has anyone had a similiar problem. Can this be fixed?
    How do they come apart?
I can fix it............... my dad has an awesome set of tools

    similar experience

I had the same thing happen to me. Eventually the piston just came out in my had, but Avid actually warrantied it! That's why it's important to have a good relationship with your LBS.
