    No good Avid problem

I didn't think it could hapen, but it happed today. The trail went downhill between to basketball sized rocks, and a stick was sticking out if the ground pointing up, about axle high. I hoped it would not kick up into the wheel. It missed the wheel, but must have hit the lever arm enough to pitch me over the bars like I hit a brick wall. Has this happened to anyone else?

Okay, what's this got to do with an Avid problem?

You expected it was immune? Sounds like you should have used the Avids earlier...on the other hand I've had crashes where I never really could figure out exactly what happened.

If it wouldn't have been your brake arm, it could have been your fork or rotor. You might had not endoed but for sure you would have crashed... It was the trail, not the brake.

    Better luck next time!!

Why trail work? Who wants to ride on a trail which has been sanitized of all stray sticks and branches? I would rather get tossed over the bars than ride trails without obstacles.

Been riding my avid mechs for a while now. never had anything like that happen. odds are so low you're probably immune to that happening again
