Avid pads won't go back in the freaking calpier .......

Ok so one of my pads in my Avid mechs came halfway out when I was taking out my tire and now I cannot get the things back in. I don't know what's going on but they just will not go back in. I followed the directions but still nothing.

This really pisses me off because it is a perfect day and I was about to go riding!! Grrrrr...

    HELP!!!

Check the clip that holds the pads

there is a small clip that holds the pads in place. My front brake's clip is different from my rear brake's clip but both perform the same function. I hope that helps.

I changed some of this because I noticed that you mentioned they were the mechanicals.

It's the rear. I am squeezing the pads together and pushing down like it says but they do not want to go in. I don't want to push too hard and bend the spring that holds the pads apart either.

Nevermind I figured it out, I was trying to put it back together with the separation spring still in there.
