    Avid Mechs on Reba

Just swapped out my Manitou for a Reba. Got the adapter for the Avids but still cannot seem to get them to fit. I have all the adjustable specers, two on each side of the bolt going to the calliper. The inside pads hits the adapter plate. It seems like I either need to grind out the adapter a bit or have the fork tabs faced. My LBS said I should not need to ge the taps faced because I have the adjustability with the Avids.
By the way his advice came over the phone. Any suggestions before I go to my LBS tomorrow?
Missed a beautiful 70 degree afternoon.
