    Avid HSX Rotor ?

Looking for a upgrade from my Cleansweep 3's. Anybody tried the HSX's yet?
Was looking at the Ice Tech's but was warned about them not working with Avid calipers and pads.

I have a HSX two piece 180mm for my front rotor. Seems to work good, less noise than with the stock clean sweeps that came on my bike. I am running BB5's but have Hayes Prime Pros coming any day now.

No, to save $ building wheels with c/l hubs, I got the Ice Tech's (RT-67). Just trimmed the rear inside pad tab off the BB-7's, and they work well, probably better, most definitely cheaper. Nearby riding lacks sustained steep descents, so overheating was not a concern.

To drop Avid's proprietary 185mm rotors, and switch to 180's, required new adapters. To be able to swap wheels, I replaced a set of clean sweeps with Marta SL rotors. They have less vibration, more power, and again were far less $ than the Avid's HSX.

Anyone upgrade from Clean Sweep to HSX, notice a difference?

The best is the one you want to ride most often..

Yes, they definitely ran quieter than the CS, but they did not completely solve my turkey gobble issue. (Selling the brakes did)
