Avid FR-5 brake levers any good?

These brake levers are light and cheap but are they any good? I was planning on buying some Avid Sl's levers and v-brakes but then I heard about the FR-5's. So, any good?

I would spend the couple extra bucks and get the SD-7's. They have the red adjustment knob so you can adjust your brakes on the fly.

I ran these for a long time on my trials bike, and they feel great, super light, and are hard to break. The levers bend before they snap. My front lever felt even better when I crashed and it bent a little bit.

I went all out and got DangerBoy levers and they own all.

The FR5 has no linkage to pull the cable like the SD/SL does. They're not bad levers, but I don't like the feel of them. I would prefer the SL.

Levers are supposed to bend before they snap.

They're good. V-brake levers are hard to get wrong.

They're good feeling levers in their own right. Not significantly worse than SD7s. The price difference isn't great however, so unless cash is really tight, might as well go for SD7s. But should you get the FR-5s, you won't be that disappointed.
