    Avid Elixir - ringed bleed port screw

    Hi ,
    I was bleeding my brakes and had gotten to removing the bleed port screw on the lever . I must have tightened it too much the previous bleed because i ringed the bleed port screw on the lever as i tried to open it. Now i cannot get purchase on the screw to open it . .

    What can i do ? ...

    I'd try to high-strength epoxy the hex wrench into the screw. If that doesn't work they make screw extractor bits that *sometimes* work.

    Thats a good idea , i was going to try and drill out the screw but that would more than likely kill the lever. I'll try that epoxy , great idea , thanks

    the screw extractor is likely what your going to end up doing anyway and if done carefully is only going to effect the already damaged screw which you'll need to replace anyway. Those screws only get torqued down to snug so easy does it on the next one
