Avid Elixir 3 problem
I have white Elixir 3 brakes that are brand new. After I bed them in, the rear brake has good power, but it has a very gritty feeling, as if there is sand somewhere even though that is impossible. It also makes a sound like there is sand scratching the pads. What could be the problem? What problems can emerge from braking too hard while bedding in? Thanks

Maybe your pads got glazed from too long a stopping attempt before they were bedded in. Try sanding them and re-bedding them.

I will try removing the brake pads and sanding them a bit and bed them in tomorrow. Thanks for the help!
