    Avid Discs '02 vs. '04

Anyone know if there is a difference?

No difference. There are differences between the '01 and '02 and newer. They used to have Magnetic pads holder instead of the '02-and-up pad spring. Besides they used a "weird" rotor diameter of 165mm.

But from '02 and on, nothing has changed. Even the price has mantained. I bought one at $75 like two years ago and now they are like $100.

I'm an Avid believer. But if you're looking for a cheap, reliable brake, the Magura Louise '04 (not olders) are worth looking at too and they are hydros (at like $90 a piece).
