    avid code question

I have been riding Hayes Mag's for years and these Avid's are all new to me.

Is it normal for the codes to have half an inch of lever throw until the pads engage?

Yes. That's the way the Code levers were designed. You have more leverage and control when the lever pulls closer to the bar.

Yea the reed knob just brings them closer to the bar.

XSL Will - I just kind of figured they were that way.
