Bonking ... not feelin' well Avid BBDB noise

I've had my Avid mechs for about 4 months now. Though they took a while to break in, they're pretty awesome now.

My prob is, the rear has started howling. What could be causing this? Dirty rotor? I started using rubbing alcohol, swabbed with a cotton ball, to clean my rotors just last month. Would this have contributed to the noisy brake?

    Try this?

Describing noises is always tough, but try this:

take the pads out, and clean everything including the face of the pads and the springs etc. Then reassemble. Make sure to assemble and readjust per the avid instructions. If you don't have the instructions, download them from the avid website.

Make sure your caliper is installed 1/3 and 2/3 per the instruction sheet. I once installed mine 2/3 and 1/3 and they squeaked/rubbed like crazy, but only at high speed. (18mph +). Good luck.
