    Avid BBDB with 140mm rotor?

I seem to recall reading about a trick that would allow running a 140 mm rotor with a rear Avid mech. A search of the archives, FAQ, and Avid's site didn't turn up much. Is anyone here familiar with this? I think the trick involved using a front adapter on the rear. Also, are there companies other than Hope that make smaller rotors? I'm thinking about doing this on my new cross bike since the 160 rear is a bit overkill for that application. Thanks for the info guys.

    No problem, just...

...mount the Avid caliper up to your rear IS tabs using an Avid FRONT IS 160 adapter (the standard adapter that comes with the front 160mm brake kit).

Any 140 should work, including Hope's.
