    Avid BB7 rattle

I have Avid BB7's on my 2012 Kona Unit. The front caliper has developed an annoying rattle over bumps. I don't think it's the pads. It seems to be the actuator arm. Anyone else have a similar experience with BB7's? Any fix suggestions?

Do yourself a favor and double check that it isn't the spring in between the pads having broken and letting the pads flop around. If it IS the actuator arm, just take the cable loose on the arm, and tighten it enough that the arm doesn't jiggle around any more, but not enough to actually start applying the brakes.
