    Avid BB7 Adjustments???

Last yr. I installed a set of BB7's & they worked super, I haven't been able to ride over the last few months & the bike has sat for awhile. I got on yesterday & the levers feel like there is way to much play, I dont remember if they were like that last yr. I can pretty much pull the brake levers right into the grips. Is that normal or do I need some adjustments, the brakes grab great but it just feels wierd?

Might be a stupid question but like my 11th grade english teacher always said there is no such thing as a stupid question just a stupid answer.

    Thanks

Sounds like you just need to do a very basic pad adjustment.

If you're unfamiliar, Avid's instructions are pretty straight-shooting and are available for download here: http://www.sram.com/_media/techdocs/...60-install.pdf

Further down the page on the brake forum are two recent posts discussing BB7 adjustment in detail:

    Disappointing BB7s
    BB7 Caliper Alignment

That should be all the info you need to get re-adjusted, and then some. Post back if you have any specific questions.
