    Avid BB5 disc rub

Hi, I'm new here.. but my BB5's disc is rubbing when the wheel turns... what can I do to correct this, and what might be causing it?

does it rub the whole rotation? if so, you probably need to adjust the caliper per avid's (sram's) instructions to re-center the caliper.

if it just rubs in a certain spot, the rotor probably needs trued, which can be done with a CLEAN adjustable wrench
Oh noes. I'm going to drink the Kool-Aid.

well, this is my first set of real disc brakes... and I'm a little worried about screwing something up so bad I can't fix it... the LBS is 20 miles away in the next town... so I don't want to mess up.

they stop really good, but I just don't like it rubbing my pads unevenly when I'm not trying to wear them down
