    ashima rotors with semi-metallic pads?

I'm picking up a pair of the light weight Ashima rotors in a week or so. I know they don't recommend organic pads and many use sintered, but what about semi-metallic pads? I was looking at some semi-metallic pads with alloy back plates. It's on my XC race bike so I don't need the pads to last forever. Would the semi-metallic pads split the difference in terms of lifespan between organic and sintered?

    Thanks,

    Dave

Can't tell you about semi's but I'm using the dual compound Ashima pads with good luck so far... but only 5-6 rides on them, but no notable wear yet. Stopping power good. (XTR calipers).
