Anybody had this problem with Elixir 9's?

I shortened the lines on my new Elixir 9's per the instructions, when I install the hose and torque it to the lever it leaks. If I pull the lever in and keep pressure on it eventually fluid will start dripping down the hose, this has happened on both levers. I'm assuming now I need to replace the olive before I can try to install them again? I also have the issue on the front that I can get fluid to pass back and forth between the lever and caliper when I bleed them but from what I have read I need to close the pad contact adjuster toward the arrow instead of away from the arrow?

What did you use to cut the lines? If they aren't cut evenly, things don't fit together well.

Park cable cutters, should get a dedicated hose cutter.

A razor knife does a pretty good job as well.

agree with this as well. Also, use a new olive every time- reusing an old one is taking a chance on a leak. Also, make sure that the brake line comes straight out of the lever- don't cut the line so short that it starts to bend too close to the lever- this is asking for a leak as well.
