    Any familiarity with Tektro Orions?

A set of Tektro Orion brakes came with my new bike. This is my first set of disc brakes, so I don't really have anything to reference them against.

On the 2nd ride, they developed a loud gobble/squeal. I don't think the rotor/pads are contaminated with oil as I haven't done any maintenance or cleaning beyond the initial set up and centering.

I've read on here that the stock Tektro pads aren't very good. The user manual for the Orions also covers the Auriga Pros, which I have read are compatible with Shimano M515/525 pads. Does anyone here know if these pads will work with the Orions?

    Thanks.

The pads that fit the Shimano BR-M525 will also fit some but not all models of the Tektro Agura.

    Orion and Agura pads: http://www.tektro.com/_english/01_products/01_prodetail.php?pid=174&sortname=Brake+Pads&sort=1&fid=4

    Pads for other Auriga's: http://www.tektro.com/_english/01_products/01_prodetail.php?pid=176&sortname=Brake+Pads&sort=1&fid=4

EBC pads get some good reviews and come in 3 types, the CFA327 pads would fit your brakes.

    Thanks for the info, cobba.

Did some more reading and learned that I didn't bed the pads and rotors properly. So I'm going to sit down this weekend and try to resurface everything and do the bedding in process right. If that doesn't work, I might either give those EBC pads a shot or see if my LBS has anything to offer.
