    Adjusting Stroker Ryde?

I just bought a used 2008 Kona Stuff, and I'm completely new to disc brakes (except for the automobile type lol). The front brakes are having the following issues:

-Lever feels mushy compared to rear
-Pads rub a little off and on, which I'm guessing is a bent rotor
-Front brakes don't stop that well. If I hit them hard at speed, it takes way longer to stop than just using the rears.

Can anyone point me in the right direction for what I should do/buy? I've done a fair amount of bike maintenance, and plenty of other mechanical stuff, so I don't mind DIY

    Thanks,
    Pat

After reading the brake FAQ, I wanted to add a few things:

-The rotor seems nearly true, but still drags lightly all the way around
-I noticed that I can only see a gap between one of the pads and the rotor (the rear I can easily see 2 gaps)
-There was a pretty good electrical tape job on the front line covering up a small kink lol

Check that the front wheel is properly and fully inserted into the dropouts. You need to center the front caliper.

You probably also need to bleed the brake. Make sure the kink is not leaking.
