I'm getting a Fox 36 in the next few days and is the Post Mount type, my question is...

Does somebody makes a "Adaptor" so I can use my old TI-six brakes on the new fork..? or do i need to start shopping for new brakes

Here is the brake in question

Thanks in advance for any leads, links and or ideas.

I searched for any type of adapter, but all I could find was what you are already using. Might have to call Hope.

I don't think that there is an adaptor for PM. Hope will confirm for you, but I suspect you're going to be needing a new caliper. The M6 changed to standard PM fitting for its last couple of years in production. You could always ask Hope if they would do an exchange deal for you...

A found This Adapter on Ebay last night, by the description sound to be the right part (the picture does not make sense, look like a standard "From post mount to IS" and not the other way around)

"B Type Disc Brake bracket will fit on both front and rear IS to Postmount as follows: Front:IS to PostMount 203mm Rear:IS to PostMount 183mm "

Well you tell me unless i'm a total dummy (many times I'm for sure) if this is the right part

It isn't. That's for a PM caliper to IS fork. The original (pre '07) M6 Ti (the later ones dispensed with Ti pistons in favour of phenolic) was not a 74mm PM caliper, rather some funky thing that Hope just made up.

Shimano made a number of adapters for IS calipers on post mounted forks. I think they were for rotors from 170mm to 203mm.

CRC has this: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...?ModelID=13744 and the 170mm rotor is here: http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/M...px?ModelID=756

and here is Hope's +20mm version:

As I said in my previous post, the M6 Ti is a one-off caliper design - it's not IS and it's not 74mm PM.

Nice! Post it up when you get it, with part number please.

I have a couple sets of the 6Ti's and will eventually need a post mount adaptor as well, as that's the way most of the new forks out there are going...

I go the adapter today, here is the bill with the part number and prices

I wish the part was more "HOPE" more finish you know, and at least BLACK since the Ti-6 where that color

With the "blocks on" (the little square lifters) you need to be running a 220mm rotor or something super massive.

This is the 200mm (i think at least if not 203mm or 205mm ) with out the "blocks"

The whole thing install in seconds and works really well
