New question here. AAARGGHH ! V brake squeeking ...

My new XTR V brakes are sgueeling like a pig, against the ceramic rim on
    my front wheel.
I've tried all the usual tricks: toe in, cleaning pads and rims with alcohol and adjusting the M.F. for around half an hour.
Is there something else i could try ?

have you tried toeing the brakes? loosen the brakes and put a credit card (or something similar) between the rear part of the brake and the rim then squeeze the lever. tighten the brake down making sure its in the correct position on the rim (i.e., not crooked, and about 1mm below the top of the rim). the front of the brake should now be about 1mm closer to the rim than the front, and will thus contact the rim first. this should eliminate the squeal. if that doesnt work try looking for different pads.

*edit* doh, didnt see that you already tried toeing them lol. oh well, maybe it'll help someone else one more thing, you are using ceramic specific pads right?

You are using pads specificly for ceramic rims, right? Okay you knew that and you are.
