    785 compatible with 960?

Can anyone tell me if 785 levers are compatible with 960 calipers??

I have one lever and two calipers...just wondering if buying another lever is worth the gamble.

I've seen people mix and match shimano levers and calipers before with great results. I can't think of any reason why it wouldn't work, but can't say for sure that it will.

For that matter, you can mix brands as long as you keep the oilers and the brake fluid ones apart.

I tried SLX M660 levers on some 960 XTR calipers and they just don't feel "right".

The levers, as with 785, are servo-wave and the calipers are not designed to work with them.

Try setting up the one set and see if it works.
