2008 XT servo wave or XTR bake set--up

Probably been discussed already but...I'm getting ready to order a Blur LT.and I'm wondering what would be the better of the 2brakes to use?.Rides will be primarily mountain.trail, and xc nothing to agresive(DH,Freeride) also have not overly concerned about $ factor as I figure I may as well build it up nice now rather than up-grade down the road. Can they be mixed-xt servo levers w/xtr rotors?Bottom line witch is the better brake system.Thanks-HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL. J.C.

I have 07 XTR's on a couple of bikes and 08 XT's on another. The XTR's are great for it's weight. The XT's have better price, power, modulation and easier setup. Even if the price was the same, I'd get another 08 XT set.

130+ mi/hr seems to be an awful lot for the XT brakes to take.

But I would vote for the 2008 XT's especially for the servowave technology implemented in their levers.
