185 rotors that won't break the bank

I need to purchase 185mm rotors that won't break the bank. I've seen a range from $16 all the way to $60. Brakes: avid bb5. hubs 6 bolt IS.

Do people really notice a difference between the differen rotors? Or, should I just get the $16 Alligator rotors?
Oh sh!+ just force upgraded to cat1. Now what?

The Alligator rotor I see is 180mm, not 185. You would need to file down the Avid mount ~2.5mm to get full pad contact and/or keep the edge of the rotor from hitting the inside of the caliper.

The rotor itself should work fine. I prefer the Galfer wavey rotors when I can afford them as they improve pad life, especially in the wet.

The trouble with common sense is it is no longer common
