Is the SpeedFox xc race worthy?

I am currently looking for a new bike. I race XC. I want something that is light and will hold up as well. I have a few questions. Is there any real difference between the sp01 and sp02 frames? (i am only looking at a new frame not so much a whole bike). What is the suggested fork travel length?

besides color dont think there is a difference between the two frames, as far as the length of the fork its a 120mm bike so its meant to have a 120 up front too. im on the sf01 with not much concern for weight and she weighs just over 26 lbs. hope that helps

If you want a real race machine, look at the fourstroke carbon frame, for XC racing probably better suited than the speedfox.

I have raced my 07 Trail Fox, without problems. Careful parts selection and cash, and you can have a 23lbs build.

Awesome! Thanks Pedro, I'd love to see pics of a build like that? Any Idea what the speedfox frame weighs? In the excitement of building mine up I didn't weigh it... DOH!
