I forgot to mention I prefer the goeometry of the Rize and the Snyper. Plus another forum member suggested I could change the fork on the trance to a 140 which would change the ha and sa. Would this change the performance?

With that said, I would recommend the X1 with a 140 fork. That will help the HTA.

The Trance X0 actually comes with the 140mm Talas, so you would be fine putting a 140 on the X1.

    Thanks,
I think I will put a longer fork on the tx1 as I cant fault the bike. It climbs really well and has taken some abuse going down. But will this change the performance and does anyone know what kind of HTA and SA it will change to, eg a degree slacker etc

    I test rode a rize & a trance.
For the $, the rize seemed too pricey for the components that were on it.

I ended up going with a trance. Very happy with the bike,

I have ridden the Snyper, Rize and Trance, came down to the Snyper and Rize, and went for the Rize. Main reason was the Lefty, absolutely love the way it handled. I wasn't concerned about components, as I will upgrade as they wear out, but have no regrets about the purchase

I forgot to ask you in the other thread if the fox fork on you trance is a f series 120, or a regular fox float 32, if it is a float not a f series then you can convert it to 140mm just by removing a spacer (lbs should do it for $20-30)

I have the Trance X4, which I feel is pretty sweet. IMO the best bike that I test rode. I can only imagine how sweet it must be when it has full fox squish on it.

I took my Tomac on a long over due trip to Kingdom Trails in Vermont, the bike was great. The bike is a great climber and provides lots of confidence on the down hills.
