Nice bike. Can you give us a reivew? I am considering a '11 TF01 XO, but not with the 2x10 . I have bad knees and need a granny gear. How do you like XO on steep climbs? I hear that there is a 22 tooth low gear available for 2012.

    Yours,

Some pictures from my good old Golddigger 01 from 2005, just sold in excellent condition a week ago. To be replaced by an Ibis Mojo SL-R.

BMC factory is only 10 km from where I live, while DT Swiss is only at 5 km!

biketaviousmaximus, the last pic is a view from the second highest summit of the Jura range in Swizerland. The Swiss Plateau is in the mist while a part of the Alps appear far away.

The Chasseral summit is only 1607 m high but dominates the all area, like the Mount Ventoux in French Provence (see on this view). This is one of my favorite rides with lots of singles and tremendous panorama.

More pictures on my website here : Chasseral

And interesting links to this place:
    - only in French but with beautiful pictures: chasseral
    - biking the area
    - something in English
    - the webcam of Chasseral, when the weather is ok!

A few years ago (2007 or 2008?) the mtb page of the BMC catalog where pictured in Chasseral.

    Enjoy the views!

Is that size small? Did you weight the frame alone by any chance?

Yes, it's a size small. Sorry, I wasn't able to weigh the frame as the bike was shipped to me built up already.

No problem, I read somwhere here 1050grams. Not bad.

How is the ride impression? What have you ridden before?

KASHO ... very nice effort! I like how everything goes together well and the colors all fit nicely together. That bike looks too nice to ride or get dirty. You'll have to find another (less nice) for riding lol

2005 Four Stroke 03 still strong 7 years later

I love my 2005 BMC Fourstroke with the long travel linkage. A fabulous steep head-angle XC oriented full suspension bike that goes the distance. I've had the main pivots and upper shock bushing replaced and it rides as good as new. Don't need a new bike yet.
