    2015 BMC Trail Fox

Just talked to one of the reps in BMC's san diego office, and they were pretty forth-coming about the chainstay rub issue that several reviews mention.

The rep told me that the 2015 bike has a redesigned rear triangle, and that the issue only affected the 2014 XX1 bikes.

So if you're thinking of getting a trailfox, and have been put off by the chainstay rub issue, it's definitely been resolved!

Any news on how it rides? I am between the Ibis Ripley and this one.... can the BMC be fitted with a Pike and a DB Inline?

I found no rub using 170 mm XX1 cranks on my small but then when I switched to 175 mm RF NEXT with the crank boots, the boot's rubbed the drive side CS a bit. I shimmed the cranks ever so slightly and that has resolved the issue. Just an FYI that the issue exists only under certain circumstances and is easily resolved on the '14 bikes.

Kind of weird that they missed this.
