... and if we just ... 2013 BMC speedfox SF01 damaged/Snapped rear triangle

    Greetings from Dubai Gents!

A couple of months back i bought my first full suspension enduro bike,Changed from a hardtail scott voltage.
We have a little bit of mountain riding out here in the desert,Good cardio.

Unfortunately when i was riding on the street the other day(just jumping curbs and small things on my way to the gym) i managed to snap a part of my rear triangle.

I bought it from a guy that had warranty,He was nice enough to claim the warranty for me,Bought him a pint as thanks!

But i am scared to ride my bike again........

    Modifications done to my bike:
-Stem changes from 100mm to 50mm
-Renthal fatbar instead of a 680mm stock bar
    -Defacto pedals

*The frame size for my bike should have been an L,I got an XL instead
    *I am 6ft tall and a 120kgs

    Queries:
-What should my rear shock pressure be set at?I have played around from 150 to 180 (180 felt the best when i locked out the rear,I hated the bounce when the pressure was lighter)
-What should the front be set at?
-Since i have changed the stem and the bars(closer and wider respectively) I feel i have put all my weight on the point that snapped

I would really appreciate all my new friends comments and knowledge.

    Thank you,
    Feroze Jaitly

Search the forum. Many people have broken the rear triangle same way. I don't think that you did anything wrong, it was just weak.

Use the Search forum function - it searches only BMC forum. Or just browse the thread list.
