    touring wheelset; which one should be better for me?

    I have two sets of wheels on which to put onto my CyclePro Oswego bicycle; both are 26" wheels; one is newer than the other...
    I have 460mm Chainstays; 1980s Sugino VP triple chainring set; 26T small ring, 36 mid, and 46 big ring; the Derailleurs are Suntour XC Sport friction shifters; from the same era as the Sugino crankset; Anyways...back to the wheels. both wheels I have are Aluminum Alloys, one is 7 speed; the other is 6 speed...
    Alex Rim X 606;559x20(or 26x1.5 nominal) 36 spokes, Shimano MegaRange; 14T,16T, 18T, 20T, 22T, 24T and a big jump to 34T; not sure if my Suntour Rear Derailleur can handle the big jump between 24 and 34;
    no name Taiwanese Araya styled wheel set; 36 spokes; 26x1.5, 6 speed; similar to Shimano but only markings are Y7 on the big ring along with 28T on it;
    14T-16T-18T-22T-24T and 28T;
    I am not sure which one I want yet..the bolt on axle on the Taiwanese is bent; will need replacing; the Alex is perfect, BUT is missing 5 spokes from when previous owner jumped chain and chain broke the spokes; (this was on a much later model Schwinn Frontier with SHimano components)
    for the kind of riding I plan on doing with this; somewhat loaded with front and rear pannier bags; handle bar bags; front and rear racks; relatively fat road tires, (thinking Michelin Wild Run'rs or Continental commuters) which rear wheel would I be better served with? I could always use my black bike's current Araya RM20s with 6 speed rear....and change tires out...

    EDIT: before I put the Alex rims on; I'm getting them repaired and trued..and as for the Araya RM20s; I don't remember the gear ring tooth counts off the top of my head (at my parents where the other wheels and bike frames are)

    am back in Albany...and looked at the wheels I currently have...

    the Araya wheels; have Shimano 7012 6 speed freewheel cluster; 14-16-18-21-24-28;

    and the SUMO 1.75 wide wheels from the military bicycle; have an odd 6-speed freewheel cluster set..
    14-17-21-23-25-30...
    maybe the Sumo would be better option once i get the paint off the rims and spokes? a compromise between 28 and 34; with the added benefit of being wider than both the Alex and the Araya and Taiwanese copies...

    EDIT: Would it be possible to get a custom-assembled 6 or 7 speed freewheel cluster; with 16-20-24-28-30-32 (and 34 if 7) sprockets? I find I use 16-20 a lot more than 14 and 18; and for the hills; the 21-28 range more in the middle ring than the small (granny) ring... but I haven't really had the chance to use the 30 or 34T rings much..tho I did use the 30T ring when I had a 48 ring small ring on my 2x6 military bike..
