T -1 for my first "real" bikepacking outing

So I've done quite a few overnights / weekends leading up to my long awaited vacation. Seriously, a very, very, very long awaited vacation.. to be precise, 17 years since my last vacation.

Anyways, I've posted before, but the theme for it is an Amish Tour; should be interesting, although, since I've been "training".. the mileage is waaay too short. The trip is only 68 miles, in 4 days. At the time I planned it, it really did seem like a long distance; now though, hell, I could do that in a single day

Ah well.. I'll be off the grid until Monday, so cya guys then!

There's something about those long grueling climbs that gets my front end all stiff... And I'm not talking about lockout...

5 days out, and now I'm back in the modern world.. It is an odd experience coming back a week later; out there, I felt more.. "alive"? Or "living"? Like I said, it is an odd sensation.

There were ups, there were downs, there was even a few instances of "omg, I almost died" moments.. But it was FUN! I'll have a TR posted in the coming days, albeit, not as in depth as what I'll post on my journal/blog.

I did have enough sense to take 3 peices of technology with me.. a cell phone (to call home once I was at final destination + emergency use), a voice recorder (to give my daily "thoughts" - good for post organizing journal logs).. and my camera of course.
