    Cool, my first thought was "this guys got it wrong, its called bikepacking, not packbiking". Then I read your writeup. Pretty sweet, what kind of pack did you use to strap your bike to like that?

    I used a Osprey Kode 30, and Dave (ionsmuse) used a modified Gossamer Gear Gorilla.

    In the past I've had luck with both the Variant 37 & 52, as well.

    Yup, it's still there. We were planning on stopping by, but the road we were going to take was gated and posted private. Bummer because I still haven't been there.

    On another note, the Potosi Hot Springs Resort closed around 2008. I hope it opens back up. There's an interesting thread on a random site (Potosi Hot Springs Resort - Topix) about people talking about their experiences there throughout the years.
