Northern Spain
Booked for northern Spain next summer. Anyone know what the riding is like in the Picos?

I've been there a couple of times, nice region.
There's always climbing involved, but not alpine grade. Really nice views and it's quite curious to be on big mountains so close to the sea.
Oviedo is also a great little city.
Hope you enjoy it, I bet you will

biff of jones uk/outcast and myself did a short bike packing trip in the picos a few years ago. its a great place...though you have to fight to keep veggies in your diet!...superb scenery and riding and there are refugios that can be used if you do a bit of map work....i cant remember the issue but there was a write up in singletrack mag about it ... soemwhere in the 50s i think? ill try and dig out some pictures...

Any chance I could get a link to a high-res version of this pic? Would make a real nice wallpaper...

Thanks for the compliment! The link takes you to Flickr set and you're more than welcome to download or I can try and find the original if you like?
