    Bikepacking the AMAZON?

    Hola,

Last week I returned from my 1st warm up trip and by the end of May I's planning to ride Carretera Austral (Chile) for my second warm up trip. Unfortunately due to the recent volcano eruption I needed to find a new destination

Now I'm analyzing the possibility to bikepack the Brazilian Amazon for a month by June...

    Saludos,
    Federico

    Federico,

Wherever you go, I think I'll enjoy reading about your adventures.

Dodging volcanos isn't a problem I'm likely to face near my home.

    Buenos viajes.

    Hola!

    Bikepacking the AMAZON?-amazon.jpg

The route had been sketched and I'll be bikepacking Rodovia Fantasma (BR-319) at the Brazilian Amazon for my 2nd warm up trip!

    BR-319

If you know anyone who'll be willing to send some gear to be used and photographed during the trip, please let me know

    Thanks,
    Federico

    Hola Sinymouse,

It won't be THAT muddy in June, but it will still be a great Adventure! It's also called "Caminho das Oncas", but I'm sure there're less Jaguars these days

I would contact the major bike and gear companies directly. Include a proposal and a link to your portfolio of similar work so they can see what you can provide.

I don't think you'll get much traction on sponsorship by simply throwing up a request on this forum.

    Good luck.
    Safe riding,

    Hola Vik,

    THANKS for your message!
I already got in touch with some companies through social media and their websites' contact forms, but it's MUCH easier when you reach the right person... and I's hoping a fellow cyclist on this forum might like my Project and point me to some friend at a cool company

    Hola Asookazian,

Unfortunately I wasn't able to borrow a demo bike, yet... I'll decide during the next couple of days if I'll leave this trip for next year and I ride an easier route with my old dirt jumper
