    Any good magazines?

I'm interested in the lighter end of the expedition touring hobby, say from day rides to several days. I'm also interested in scenic single-track that might be anything from less than an hour to much of a day. I'm not really interested in high-speed, technical shredding.

Is there a magazine that caters to the more leisurely MTB scene? I'm guessing that many or most MTB magazines are like "Bicycling" (focuese on high speed road riding) in that they are mostly devoted to a very limited range of actitivies (ie, shredding).

I know that Dirt Rag is a sister publication to Bicycle Times so I'm planning to pick up a copy of that as a starting point. I know Adventure Cycling publishes a periodical but the one issue I have didn't impress me too much.

Any good rags I need to now about?

That looks awesome! So it's PDF only at this time? I looked but didn't see any hard copies for purchase.

    Thanks for the link!

I thought you could get a hard copy, but I don't know how. It's pretty cool though, and the contributors certainly have credentials.

For print publications BIKE is the only one worth reading imo. They cover a wide range of riding and locales and have even started to open the doors to stories about multi day trips and tours in the occasional edition.

....and the Mountain Flyer. The few I've picked up were good but they're harder to come by and expensive on my side of the line.

+1 for Bunyan Velo. Also, Sidetracked. A little birdie told me that Dirt Rag may have a bikepacking article coming in the next issue...
