will this fit on my Frame?

will this shock fit on my frame or will it make it sit back too far and put stress on the frame?

    No it won't

your bike is designed to take a 120mm fork, the new one is 140mm, and that's without knowing the axle to crown (A-C) measurement. I'll let you do the checking though. If it's longer and I think it is, then that will add to the rake/chopperization of the Motobecane.

There are lots of deal around for Fox Float RL 120mm forks that are OEM, those will work for you.

You're frame is spec'd for up to 120mm travel so the 140 is probably gonna be a no go.

Up to 120mm travel in the front and in the rear
    You don't like the Reba?

bikesdirect specs it with the Dart 3, I'm not sure what he's got, whatever, the new one is too much travel. Jim
