What to look for in geometry?

I usually look at the HTA, Effective Top Tub, wheel base, and chain stay length. What else should be considered and how does it affect the ride?

Bottom bracket height. The trend in trail and AM is going lower and lower. If you have really chunky trails this could pose a problem. Other than that, you pretty much have the numbers... unless you're into stack and reach. My problem with stack and reach measurements is that so few companies offer these numbers that they are not very useful in comparing frames that I have owned or want to buy.

I recommend seeking out demo days so you can ride different bikes and understand geo differences...make sure u read up about each bike's geometry though.
