Used Tomac Taos vs New Klein Attitude V

    Hello all,

I a in the market for a hardtail bike as I am trying to get back into it. I have been considering purchasing a new 05 klein attitude V from my LBS. I recently saw a 04 Tomac Taos which appears to be in my size appear on the classifiedds. Prices between the two are similar. I wonder if anyone could help me out in making the decision on which would be a better buy for the money. Here are the links to the bikes

    Both good bikes

Both the Tomac and Klein are good bikes. The Tomac looks better spec'd, but it is a used bike and whether it's a good deal would depend a lot on it's condition. I haven't ridden a Tomac, but I've seen some good reviews on mtbr for the Taos. With the Klein, you get a fair amount of Bontrager in-house stuff, but you also get the great handling and climbing of a Klein. Plus, you have the peace of mind that it's a new bike and you would be supporting your LBS. Either way, enjoy.
