Trying to undrstand 29 geo thru my 26

I have enjoyed my 1994 LS Obed but its time for a 29er. I have my eye on a Lynskey and trying to figure out what I like/want? My Obed is a mountain goat. Climb anything blah blah blah. The MT29 has similar geometry except for a couple of things. The bottom bracket sits 2 inches below line of wheels...Good for balance / into the bike kind of thing. My OBed sits just a tad lower when drawing a straight line through the wheels. Meaning the BB is 1/2 to 3/4 inch lower than the straight line through the wheels.
The CS is 3/4 longer on the MT/ Everything else is close or somewhat close considering the 2 diff sizes.
I am thinking that the MT29 will ride faster/ more comfortable and maybe a hair less mountaingoaty...hey that's a new word...
Am I correct in this thinking?

Lynskey and seven cycle is about the same price. While I like Lynskey, I have 3 seven bikes and I can tell you that you can have the bike that handles the way you want. Custom made just for you.

Check them out and talk to them.
