    I received my cx frame from dmitry today. It is pretty damn well packed, actually took 20 minutes to open. Frame is sexy as hell, will build it in 2-3 weeks. Once I build I will share pictures.

    I too received my 29 HT frame late last week, but I just returned home last night so I cut it open this morning. It took me about 25 minutes to cut out, but it shipped perfectly. I'll post pictures of the final build when completed. Looks really nice.

    My thinking was that this area on the headtube isn't stressed very high. Some trials and BMX frames even have huge cut-outs there, including sharp edged ones:

    The only problem I see with shipping a frame this way, is everyone along the shipping chain will know what it is. It greatly increases the chances of the frame never making it to its destination. Especially with your return address. Someone could do an Internet search and know that it's a high end frame. But, for all I know, you ship it that way in a box.

    you're joking, right? of course it ships in a box, you have to be kidding.

    and what fat bike stays don't look flexy, unless you were joking again, hard to tell from a post. but what else can you do with fat bike stays other than bend them with enough clearance for the tires?

    Some people actually ship frames that way.

    You can use bigger tubes. You can use seat and chain stay yokes. There's ways around it.

    I have never seen one shipped that way. Doesn't mean it never happens but c'mon, how freakin often? As far as your flexy comment, it must be really slow for you to throw out such an obvious troll attempt.

    I'm actually very busy today, I'm always busy. Business is good! I'm just telling you what I see. And, yes, I had a frame shipped to me that way, and it came damaged. And, yes, Iv'e ridden a fatty made if thin Al tubes and that was even flexy, So, I don't see a steel one being less flexy.
