    Hi guys!

I haven't been online for a few days.
Had a ticket to Barcelona that I had bought almost a year ago for a random date (Sep 19th). I didn't want to go because of workload. But I was on the edge since no vacations for a year.

I was in the office at midnight, 8 hours before the flight when my wife called me and said I should go. So I cycled home packed up and left Russia. Rented a bike in Barca, cycled everywhere, watched Barcelona-Spartak match, went to Andorra to do some climbing in the mountains, went to the seaside to do some swimming, went to Geneva to my friend who is a professor at CERN.

Don't think anyone wants photos here, since it's a Ti frame related thread.
I was still guiding the Triton Bikes production over Skype when I could. We machined a few more headtubes for the future frames, finished a hybrid frame for a Russian customer, started a road frame for a US customer. Also made new tooling for press (to allow more solutions on tire clearance), modified the Anvil jig.
Now the BB height can be over 100mm, that's for trials bikes.
And seat stays of up to 550mm for 36" bikes.

I have some media to share, though it's a bit late For example photos of frame made for gbs. He had already posted the whole bike built up.

I am fresh and back to work. There are many emails in the queue and I am processing them.

Also here is a video that my Canadian customer sent me. Alex rides a 24" Triton trials frame. He appears at 2:00.

Damn! I wish I knew that, we would meet and sort out the design issues within an hour.

I now have tickets to Barca for May 25th 2013.
I am in love with the city, the freedom, architecture (crazy beautiful Gaudi), etc etc

Please no more of that Triton photo story stuff!

I am soooo trying to not want one of your trial frames. That you post pics does not exactly make it easier

Okay, looks like I haven't posted here the second part of the photos of Bunyan's road frame in the progress. These are from August.

I took photos of almost every step because this is a road frame and it is something rare here and a new product for our new shop. As I am getting more and more interested in the road scene I took loads of photos

The first set of photos is available here: Triton Bikes. Titanium frames handmade in Russia. Anyone? :)

So the front triangle was finally on the jig

Upper cone and lower headtube base machined here at Triton to match large 49.6mm headtube

Heatsink with argon shielding machined from scratch out of 5kg of bronze

    Mitering seatstays

    Sasha, smile!

    Mitering the chainstays

    Ovalized 22mm stays

Frame on a jig ready for tacking

    Fusion welding

    ]

    Cable stop!

    Headtube reaming and facing

    XC frame in progress

Do you want more or is that it for today?

This is a nice AM bike.

Is it possible to have an oversize top and down tube? The size of the head tube is not proportion with both top and down tube. X12 dropout would be nice too.

I am dreaming of a CNC machine. Once we have it, we may try.
My friend has just ordered a CNC and I will be using it for making dropouts. So we shall see.
However they have to be made in Asia or they will be expensive.

Coming soon: my dad's bike. He'd ordered it back in 2011, in autumn. So looks like he was waiting the longest. I would always make my customers' frames first because business is business

when building the frame, are the components such as drivetrain etc. required for fitting/testing?

In most cases we only need to know the exact measurements for drivetrain. Like chainline, chainrings sizes, Q-factor, etc. We know that for MTB and road bikes. I have tech data for this. However some unusual designs may need examples of wheels/drivetrain.

Here is the road frame for Bunyan who has waited quite a long time.

Built at our new shop. Actually first road frame built at a new shop. So far we have only be making 26" and 29" frames there.

Bunyan is a big guy so everything is oversized:
    - downtube 46mm
    - all stays 22mm
    - Oversized headtube 1.5" (49.6mm)

    Other bits:
    - Paragon Machine Works breezer dropouts with replaceable hanger
    - Custom decals: our new Triton decals in italic with bullet-like graphics (bullets are for Bunyan only)
    - Hand brushed finish with blasted decals (matt outlining)
    - Smooth welds
    - Weight 1854 grams

We now offer this italic lettering along with the classic one

    More to come,

    Dmitry

Dmitry, do you have a form for people interested in custom to fill out for measurements and wanted features?
